HCG weight loss recipesThe HCG diet program is the most popular way to lose weight in the world today. Many people are starting the program, and along with that comes many questions as well. Particularly about Phase 2, many people are often confused by what is allowable and what is not. People can eat whatever they like during phase 1 (minus foods high in carbs) and then in Phase 3 they go on a much more “normalized” diet. However in Phase 2, there are some very strict requirements for success. Particularly, people need to keep some things in mind for success. Firstly, the hcg weight loss program, at least the modern approach, allows users to eat many of their normal foods. Almost all fruits and vegetables are allowed, as well as chicken, fish, or lean beef. Secondly, you need to keep away from milk or anything with natural (or unnatural) hormones. You want to eat organic as much as possible, especially with beef, as human growth hormone is much the same as bovine growth hormone.

Chicken Apple Sausage


  • 150 grams of ground chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons of red apple (minced)
  • 1 serving of crumbs of Melba toast (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of chicken broth or water (water is better for caloric intake)
  • 2 tablespoons of apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon of yellow onion (finely minced)
  • A dash of garlic powder
  • A dash of onion powder
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • A dash of nutmeg or clove (optional)
  • A dash of cayenne to your preference
  • Salt and black pepper to your preference

Combine diced apple, ground chicken and dry spices into a small bowl. Add the apple juice and minced onion and mix this all in thoroughly. Make a 2 to 3 patties with the chicken and fry this in the pan with either water or the chicken broth. Deglaze the pan often, as it keeps the flavors excellent and helps keep the chicken moist.
Makes 1 serving (1 protein, 1 fruit & 1 Melba toast)

The above is a prime example of what is allowable on the program.  You want to stick to lean meats, and a few vegetables along with each meal.  You can add in some mixed vegetables, greens, kale, or salad per your preferences.  However, you should avoid things like potatoes, spuds of all kinds, rice, corn or anything starchy as this can definitely harm the person’s weight loss results.  Keep these things in mind and you’re sure to succeed on the program and survive phase 2!

Remember: 700 calories per day is the modern approach and allows for a wide variety of fruits/vegetables and does not limit them the way the classical approach did.
